103 Days to Book Launch – March 19, 2016
Spent time today working through the Top 100 website for book promotion. Out of the first ten that were listed I found four sites that looked very promising for eBook (Children’s) particularly Kindle sales. One site I listed below but didn’t count because they are not accepting submisions at this time.
PixelofInk.com US Alexa ranking of 20,180, sites linking in 583 . Author’s Link for Promotion – Children’s Books Inspired Reads Offers books that are free/.99/other prices. NOT ACCEPTING ADVERTISING AT THIS TIME.
EreaderNewstoday.com US Alexa ranking of 34,827, sites linking in 456. Children’s Books – Submit book – cost is between $25-$70 for middle grade book. – Not all books submitted are accepted. Submit books only within 30 days of promotion. Your book must be rated 4 or above on Amazon to be considered.
Ereadergirl.com US Alexa ranking 141,638, sites linking in 89. Children’s books & Christian fiction only. Free/Discounted/Full price categories. Children’s books – $20 for paid submission – $100 for featured Author of the Week.
I am adding this to my Resources for Authors page. Will continue to work through the 90 remaining sites. Each site has different requirements for entering. I want to work on writing the descriptions, back cover copy and other details before the week of my book launch so that I can save time.
Finally I did read a little of the book I mentioned yesterday, Virtual Book Tours for Authors. I am only a couple of chapters into it but it is so packed with information and “things to do” I find it overwhelming. All of this stuff makes me feel like I am spinning my wheels. Hard to narrow down to what I can do and what I hope will be the most effective use of time and energy.
Worked some with ManageFlitter. Mostly unfollowing people that I have not followed me back or that I feel are not really those I want in my social circle. Some twitter folks send out gobs of tweets and I delete them as I find too many tweets from one source becomes annoying. Especially when they dump a load all at once. I also don’t want to follow folks that are rabidly political, spiritual or people with an agenda, or are rude, etc.
